The Harvard Public Library was built in 1914 with funds from the Carnegie Foundation. Its doors opened to the public in 1915 and has been in continuous use ever since.
It hosts a variety of books for both children and adults in the genres of fiction, nonfiction, research, history, and travel, as well as audio books and movies. Five desktop computers with Wi-Fi, a printer, and a scanner are available for use. An enhanced reading device has been acquired for the visually impaired.
Groups in need of a place to meet may use the library if arrangements are made with the Library Director.
There’s a reading program for elementary school children put on every summer.
